Welcome to Aeluna.
Aeluna is a faith-based bedtime app created to help children and families experience moments of prayer, gratitude, kindness, reflection, and connection before sleep.

 

This Privacy Policy explains what information Studio Gevano Inc. collects, how that information is used, stored, and shared, and how we protect privacy.

Aeluna is a product of Studio Gevano Inc., a corporation incorporated under the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada.

 

This Privacy Policy applies to:

• The Aeluna mobile application (the “App”);

• The Aeluna product website (aelunaaura.com); and

• The Studio Gevano Inc. corporate website (studio-gevano.com).

 

By using the App or our websites, or by providing information through them, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires your consent, we will seek it as required.

 

2. Our Privacy Commitment
Protecting children's privacy is one of our core values.

Aeluna is designed to minimize data collection and provide a safe, family-friendly experience.

 

We do not require users to create an account to use the Aeluna App.

 

Most information used to personalize Aeluna, including an optional child's name, prayer progress, and preferences, is stored locally on the user's device.

 

Studio Gevano Inc. may collect limited personal information from adults who voluntarily choose to:

• Subscribe to receive Aeluna updates through the Aeluna website;

• Contact us; or

• Make a voluntary Support Aeluna contribution through the Aeluna website.

 

We do not sell personal information.
We do not display third-party advertisements within the Aeluna App.
We do not use children's activity for advertising purposes.

The Aeluna App does not use behavioral advertising, advertising identifiers, or tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

 

The Aeluna and Studio Gevano websites may use cookies and website analytics technologies, as described below.

 

3. Information Stored on Your Device
To provide certain features, Aeluna stores limited information locally on your device.

 

This information may include:

• An optional child's name;

• Journey night count;

• Last-prayed date;

• Garden of Prayer progress and level;

• Favorite prayers or content selections;

• Preferred language settings;

• Text-size preferences; and

• Other settings necessary to remember your progress and preferences between sessions.

Optional Child's Name
A parent or guardian may choose to enter a child's name to personalize the Aeluna experience.
If provided, the child's name is stored locally on the device and may be used for on-screen personalization, such as:

“Goodnight, [name].”

The child's name is not included in Aeluna's anonymous product-usage events and is not uploaded to Studio Gevano Inc.'s servers as part of the App's normal operation.

You may choose not to enter a child's name.

Local Storage
The information described in this section is used only to provide and personalize the App experience. It is not used for advertising or behavioral profiling.
Because most of this information is stored locally:

• It may be deleted if you uninstall the App;

• It may be lost if your device is reset or replaced;

• It may not be available on a new device unless restored through a device backup or another applicable device-level feature;

• Studio Gevano Inc. does not currently provide a separate Aeluna cloud backup or account synchronization service; and

• It cannot currently be restored by Studio Gevano Inc. if it is lost and no applicable device backup is available.

4. Limited Anonymous App Usage Information
The Aeluna App records a limited set of anonymous, non-identifying product-usage events through Base44, Aeluna's backend platform.

This information is used to help Studio Gevano Inc. understand how Aeluna's features are used and improve the App.

 

Examples may include:

• A prayer being opened;

• The Garden of Prayer being viewed;

• A prayer being added to favorites; or

• An indication that a child's name has been saved.

 

Where relevant, an event may include a non-identifying property such as a prayer ID or prayer category.

 

These events are not intended to include:

• A child's name;

• Full names;

• Email addresses;

• Advertising identifiers;

• Location information; or

• Other directly identifying information.

 

For example, if a parent chooses to save a child's name, Aeluna may record that a name was saved. The child's actual name is not included in that event.

 

We do not use this information for advertising, behavioral profiling, targeted advertising, cross-app tracking, or cross-website tracking.

 

5. Third-Party Analytics in the Aeluna App
The Aeluna App does not integrate third-party analytics SDKs or frameworks such as:

• Google Analytics;

• Firebase Analytics;

• Mixpanel; or

• Amplitude.

 

The limited anonymous product-usage information described in Section 4 is recorded through Base44 for Studio Gevano Inc.'s internal product-improvement purposes.

 

This statement applies specifically to the Aeluna mobile App. Website analytics are described separately below.

 

6. App Configuration
When the App launches, it may connect to its backend to retrieve public app configuration and settings necessary to operate Aeluna.
This standard app-configuration request is used to load and maintain app-level functionality.

 

The request is not intended to include personal information such as:

• A child's name;

• A user's name;

• Contacts;

• Location information; or

• Advertising identifiers.

7. Information We Do Not Collect Through Normal Use of the App
The Aeluna App does not collect or use the following information through its normal functionality:

• Photos or photo library content;

• Contacts or address book information;

• Precise location information;

• Health information;

• Browsing history;

• Camera data;

• Microphone or audio recordings; or

• Advertising identifiers.

Aeluna does not request access to these categories for its core experience.

 

8. Advertising and Tracking in the Aeluna App
Aeluna is an ad-free experience.

 

We do not display third-party advertisements within the Aeluna App.
The App does not contain:

• Advertising networks;

• Advertising SDKs;

• Behavioral advertising;

• Personalized advertising;

• Cross-app tracking; or

• Tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

 

We do not permit advertising networks to target children through the App.
This section applies specifically to the Aeluna mobile App. Website cookies and website analytics are described separately below.

 

9. Website Updates and Communications
Stay Connected
The Aeluna website may allow parents and other adults to voluntarily subscribe to receive Aeluna updates and communications.

If you choose to subscribe through the “Stay Connected” form, Studio Gevano Inc. may collect:

• First name;

• Last name;

• Country; and

• Email address.

 

This information is stored and processed through HubSpot, a customer relationship management (CRM) and communications platform used by Studio Gevano Inc. to manage Aeluna's subscriber list and communications.

 

We use this information to:

• Send Aeluna updates and communications;

• Share information about Aeluna developments, features, and news;

• Manage and maintain our communications list;

• Personalize communications, where appropriate;

• Understand the countries where our subscribers are located; and

• Maintain records of subscription and communication preferences.

Consent and Unsubscribing
By submitting the Stay Connected form, you agree to receive updates and communications from Aeluna.

 

You may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link or other unsubscribe option provided in our communications, or by contacting us at aeluna.app@gmail.com.

 

If you unsubscribe, we will stop sending you marketing and promotional communications, subject to the time reasonably required to process your request.

We may retain limited information necessary to record your unsubscribe request, prevent unwanted communications, comply with applicable laws, and maintain appropriate records.

 

Information From Children
The Stay Connected form is intended for parents and other adults.
We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through this form.
Parents and guardians should not submit a child's name or email address to subscribe to Aeluna updates.

 

10. Website Traffic, Analytics and Cookies
The Aeluna website (aelunaaura.com) and the Studio Gevano Inc. website (studio-gevano.com) are hosted on Wix.

 

When you visit either website, Wix and technologies used in connection with the websites may automatically collect certain technical and website-usage information.

11. Support Aeluna and Voluntary Contributions
Aeluna may allow adults to make voluntary financial contributions to support:

• The continued operation of Aeluna;

• Development of new features and content;

• Maintenance and technical improvements; and

• Expanding Aeluna's reach to more children and families.

Making a voluntary contribution is entirely optional.
A voluntary contribution does not unlock additional Aeluna content, features, functionality, or benefits.
The core Aeluna experience is not dependent on making a contribution.

Website-Only Contributions
At this time, voluntary Support Aeluna contributions are not offered or processed within the Aeluna mobile App.
Contributions may be made through the Aeluna website.

Payment Processing by Stripe
Voluntary contributions may be processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor.
If you choose to make a contribution, Stripe may request information necessary to process the transaction, such as:

• Name;

• Email address;

• Country;

• Postal or ZIP code;

• Payment card information; and

• Other information required to process the transaction.

 

Payment card details are entered through Stripe's payment system and processed by Stripe.

 

Studio Gevano Inc. and Aeluna do not receive or store your full payment card number or card security code.

 

Studio Gevano Inc. may receive limited information related to a voluntary contribution, such as:

• Contribution amount;

• Transaction date;

• Transaction status;

• Payment or transaction reference information; and

• Other limited information necessary to identify, reconcile, manage, or support the transaction.

 

We use this information only for purposes related to processing, recording, managing, and supporting voluntary contributions and the operation of Aeluna.

 

We do not use contribution or payment information for behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, advertising profiling, or tracking.
Stripe's handling of personal information is governed by its own privacy practices and applicable terms.

 

12. Third-Party Service Providers
Studio Gevano Inc. uses trusted third-party service providers to help operate Aeluna and its websites.

 

These providers currently include:

Base44
Base44 provides backend and related infrastructure services used to support the Aeluna App, including the limited anonymous App-usage information described in this Privacy Policy and other backend services necessary to operate the App.

 

Wix

Wix provides website hosting and related infrastructure for:

• aelunaaura.com; and

• studio-gevano.com.

Wix may process technical information, website-usage information, and cookie-related information in connection with its services.

HubSpot
HubSpot provides customer relationship management and communications services used by Studio Gevano Inc. to manage information submitted by adults who voluntarily subscribe to Aeluna updates.
Information submitted through the Stay Connected form, including first name, last name, country, and email address, is stored and processed through HubSpot for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Stripe
Stripe provides payment-processing services for voluntary Support Aeluna contributions made through the Aeluna website.
These service providers may process information as necessary to provide their services and for other purposes described in their applicable privacy policies and agreements.

 

13. How We Use Information
Any information Studio Gevano Inc. receives or processes may be used for purposes such as:

• Operating and maintaining Aeluna;

• Delivering content and features;

• Remembering local preferences and progress;

• Understanding anonymous App feature usage;

• Understanding website traffic and usage;

• Improving reliability, functionality, and performance;

• Sending updates and communications to adults who voluntarily subscribe;

• Managing subscription preferences and unsubscribe requests;

• Processing and managing voluntary contributions;

• Responding to inquiries;

• Troubleshooting technical issues;

• Complying with legal obligations; and

• Protecting the security and integrity of Aeluna and its websites.

 

We do not sell personal information.
We do not use children's personal information for behavioral advertising.
We do not create marketing profiles of children.

 

14. Use of Artificial Intelligence
Aeluna uses artificial intelligence (“AI”) tools behind the scenes to assist with the creation, development, and improvement of Aeluna.

 

AI may be used to assist with:

• Generating ideas and supporting brainstorming;

• Software development and coding;

• Drafting prayers, reflections, and other content;

• Translating content into different languages;

• Creating and developing visual content and images; and

• Other creative and development tasks.

 

AI is used as a tool to assist the Aeluna team. It does not independently determine Aeluna's mission, vision, values, priorities, ethical standards, or overall direction.

 

Studio Gevano Inc. is responsible for Aeluna's mission, vision, features, priorities, content standards, and ethical approach. The Aeluna team makes and reviews these decisions as part of the development and creative process.

 

AI-assisted content and development work are subject to human review and oversight. The Aeluna team may curate, edit, rewrite, revise, test, or reject AI-assisted content before it is used.

 

Prayers, reflections, translations, images, features, and other content are reviewed and approved by the Aeluna team before publication or release.

 

The Aeluna team also designs and reviews the user experience, tests the App, and approves updates before release.
AI and User Information

 

AI is not used within the Aeluna App to independently interact with children or generate personalized content based on information they provide.

 

Studio Gevano Inc. does not use AI to analyze, profile, or make decisions about children or families based on their personal information.
A child's name, locally stored personalization information, prayer progress, favorites, preferences, and other personal information collected through normal use of the App are not used as inputs to AI systems for the purposes described in this section.

 

AI is used primarily as a behind-the-scenes creative and development tool. Human review and responsibility remain central to the content and experience Aeluna provides.

 

15. Children's Privacy
Aeluna is designed for use by families and children under the supervision of parents, guardians, or caregivers.

 

We take children's privacy seriously and are committed to minimizing the collection of children's personal information.

 

An optional child's name may be stored locally on the user's device for personalization. The child's name is not included in Aeluna's anonymous App-usage events and is not uploaded to Studio Gevano Inc.'s servers as part of the App's normal operation.

The Website's Stay Connected form is intended for parents and other adults and is not intended for children.

​

We do not knowingly collect children's personal information for:

• Advertising;

• Behavioral profiling;

• Targeted advertising;

• Tracking; or

• Sale to third parties.

 

Website analytics and cookies described in Section 10 relate to visits to the websites and are not features of the Aeluna children's App experience.

 

If you believe that a child has provided personal information directly to Studio Gevano Inc. in a way that is not described in this Privacy Policy, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to review and address the situation.

 

16. Data Security
Studio Gevano Inc. takes reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information associated with Aeluna.

 

Information stored locally on your device is subject to the security protections provided by your device and operating system.

 

Information transmitted to our service providers is limited to the information necessary to provide the relevant services.

 

No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. While we strive to protect information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

17. Data Retention
Information Stored Locally
Because most Aeluna personalization information is stored locally on your device, Studio Gevano Inc. generally does not retain that information on Aeluna's servers.

 

Locally stored information remains on your device until it is:

• Changed or removed within the App, where applicable;

• Cleared through your device or App settings, where supported; or

• Removed when the App is deleted, subject to your device's backup and storage settings.

Anonymous App-Usage Information
Anonymous App-usage information may be retained within Aeluna's backend infrastructure for as long as reasonably necessary to understand App usage, operate and improve the service, maintain security, and meet applicable operational or legal requirements.
Because these events are designed to be anonymous and non-identifying, they are not intended to identify an individual child or family.

 

Website Subscription Information
If you subscribe to receive Aeluna updates, Studio Gevano Inc. may retain your first name, last name, country, email address, and subscription preferences in HubSpot for as long as you remain subscribed to receive communications.

 

If you unsubscribe, we will stop sending you promotional communications and may retain limited information necessary to:

• Record your unsubscribe request;

• Prevent future unwanted communications;

• Comply with applicable laws; and

• Maintain appropriate business records.

 

Website Analytics Information
Website traffic and usage information collected through Wix or other website technologies may be retained according to the applicable retention practices of those service providers.

 

Contribution Information
Information related to voluntary contributions may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for:

• Transaction management;

• Accounting;

• Recordkeeping;

• Customer support;

• Security and fraud prevention; and

• Legal or regulatory compliance.

 

Payment information processed by Stripe is subject to Stripe's own retention practices and applicable legal requirements.

 

18. International Users and International Processing
Aeluna is available to families in countries around the world.

 

Studio Gevano Inc. is based in Quebec, Canada, but information associated with Aeluna may be processed or stored in Canada or other countries where Studio Gevano Inc. or its service providers operate.

 

Our third-party service providers, including Base44, Wix, HubSpot, and Stripe, may process or store information in jurisdictions outside your country of residence.

 

When information is processed internationally, Studio Gevano Inc. takes reasonable steps to work with service providers that maintain appropriate safeguards and to comply with applicable privacy laws.

Aeluna is continually evolving.
